This summer, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) built a compact roundabout at the intersection of Pontiac Trail and 7 Mile Road in Salem Township. This roundabout replaced a 4-way stop intersection. A compact roundabout is designed to reduce congestion using a smaller physical footprint than traditional roundabouts. Smaller footprints can also minimize impact to nearby property owners, speed up construction time, and reduce construction costs.
Compact roundabouts are still relatively new in Washtenaw County, and the WCRC would like feedback on this type of road improvement. Please complete the survey that can be found here
Your time and feedback is greatly appreciated!
