IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CORONAVIRUS 2019 (COVID-19) 03/16/2020 9:45 AM

During this public health situation, the Charter Township of Lyon administration has decided to enact a partial closure of township services. This decision was not made lightly and was made only after a careful review of what the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) defines as “essential functions.” This decision was made to ensure the township’s continuity of operations and to protect the health and safety of the public and our staff.

Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, the township office building located at 58000 Grand River, will be closed to the public until further notice. This partial closure will not affect 911 or police, fire, and emergency medical services. This partial closure will not affect water and wastewater functions. The Fire Dept announced Friday, March 13, 2020 that their administrative offices are closed to the public. The Oakland County Sheriff sub-station located at 58000 Grand River will remain open. This partial closure will not affect water and wastewater functions. Again, this partial closure will not affect 911 or police, fire, and emergency medical services. The Township will continue to staff certain departments in order to maintain essential routine and emergency functions and to respond to the public health situation. Please call (248) 437-2240 during regular office hours with any questions you may have or visit the township website at www.lyontwp.org
