Redevelopment
 Committee

The Redevelopment Committee's purpose is to lead and promote the development of under-utilized buildings and spaces in the DDA.  The Committee aims to achieve this by identifying and prioritizing redevelopment sites within the district and to develop strategies needed to accomplish redevelopment, working with property owners to rehabilitate their properties and utilize vacant second or third stories, and developing programs to assist property owners in rehabilitiation.

This committee positions the downtown or commercial district as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics.  This is done by hosting special events, festivals, and a variety of promotions that attract people to the downtown area to live, work, shop, and be entertained.
