I have been married to my wife Lorraine since 1960. We have three daughters, eight wonderful grandchildren, and two great grandsons. We moved to Lyon Township in 1988 from Redford Township, where we lived for 27 years. I was active in Redford campaigns and found I liked being involved in grass roots politics.
I retired from General Motors in 2000 as a Metal Model Maker after 21 years. In my last 12 years there, I programmed large CNC machine tools that formed tools, dies, and related fixturing. I was certified in several levels of Numerical Control programming while at GM.
I attended Henry Ford Community College and received a degree from Macomb College. I graduated from Catholic Central High School.
I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and am a member of AMVETS Post 2006 in Milford. We have monthly meetings at Abbey Park, in addition to our regular meetings.
When our children were young, we were avid campers. We made two month-long trips across our beautiful country to California and back.
