Ken Van Sparrentak is Lyon Township's Fire Chief. He may be reached at 248-486-3775 (Fire Station #1). Chief Van Sparrentak is a full-time fire chief and is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:40 p.m.
The Lyon Township Fire Department consists of paid on-call firefighters, deputy fire chief Doug Berry, full-time marshal Don Collick, and emergency medical technicians. In addition, each fire station is staffed during the day with two duty firefighters. The firefighters respond to a wide variety of calls, including fires, medical assistance, and automobile accidents.

Information regarding burn permits can be found here. To obtain a burn permit, you must go to Fire Station #1 during regular business hours. The permit is free and good for one year.
