Community Center Use Rules
The primary purpose of the WKSCC is for the use of the Lyon Township Community. Priority will be given to the needs of the Lyon Township government agencies, including the Township Government, Fire Department, and Public Library. The next priority goes to the community groups that meet in an ongoing basis at the WKSCC, and finally, Lyon Township residents looking to use the facility for private parties, etc. WKSCC may not be used to sell or to promote the sale of goods or services. Religious services are not allowed, however religious book clubs or discussion groups would be considered a community group.
A $100.00 deposit (by check made out to the Lyon Township Public
Library) is required for use of the WKSCC for private parties, receptions, and showers.
It is required that the person reserving the WKSCC is a resident of Lyon Township, and that person will be responsible for cleaning and securing the premises after use and prompt return of the key. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the deposit. The Fire Marshall allows for a maximum
of fifty (50) persons in the facility.
No money can exchange hands at functions held at the WKSCC.
