 Volunteers Needed for Sledding Hill Setup

 

The Lyon Township Park Committee will be setting up a sledding hill on Sunday, January 10th at 11:00a.  The sledding hill will be located behind the Lyon Township Municipal Center in James F. Atchison Memorial Park.  The Park Committee is a volunteer organization, and they would love any additional help they can get.  If you are interested in assisting with the sledding hill setup, please contact Lyon Township at 248-437-2240 for more information.

 

 

 Township Closed for Holiday

 

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Lyon Township Municipal Center will be closed on Monday, January 18th.

                                                                      

 

 Board of Trustees Meeting Date Changed

 

The regular February meeting date for the Lyon Township Board of Trustees has been changed.  Instead of meeting on Monday, February 1st, the Board will meet on Wednesday, February 10th.  The meeting will be held at the normal time and in the normal location (7:00p at the Lyon Township Municipal Center). 

 

 

 Tax Payment Deadline Approaching

 

The last day to pay winter 2009 taxes without penalty is February 14, 2010.  Payments may be made at the Treasurer's Office during the Township's normal business hours.  If you are unable to come in while we are open, you may drop off your payment in the locked drop box located on the circular drive in front of the building.  The drop box is checked daily when the office is open.  If you have any questions, please contact the Treasurer's Office at  248-437-2240. 

                                                  

 

 New Planning Commissioners Welcomed

 

At their January 4th meeting, the Board of Trustees appointed Ed Campbell and Kristofer Enlow to the Planning Commission.  Welcome, Ed and Kristofer! 

 

The Planning Commission generally meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00p at the Lyon Township Municipal Center, and meetings are open to the public.  A schedule can be found here.
