 Section of Grand River Avenue to be Closed Temporarily
A roundabout is currently being constructed on Grand River Avenue, east of Milford Road. Weather-permitting, Grand River will be closed on Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th. During other construction days, Grand River remains open, but traffic is shifted, and there may be occasional delays. This project is tentatively scheduled to be completed by late November. Use I-96 or 12 mile to South Hill as Alternare routes. Lyon Township Holiday Closures During the month of November, the Lyon Township Municipal Center will be closed on the following days: Wednesday, November 11th - Veterans Day Thursday, November 26th - Thanksgiving Friday, November 27th - Day after Thanksgiving Vial of Life Now Available for Residents The Lyon Township Fire Department has launched the Vial of Life program. The Vial of Life is a large prescription medicine bottle that contains a form that people fill out to indicate medical history, prescriptions, allergies, and emergency contact information. This form allows first responders to know what ailments a patient may be suffering from even if the patient is unable to communicate. The Vial of Life program is free and available to all Lyon Township residents. Bottles may be picked up at the Lyon Township Municipal Center, the Lyon Township Public Library, and Fire Station #1.
