 Next Movie Selection Announced
Hotel for Dogs will be the next movie shown for the Movies in the Park series on Saturday, July 25th, at James F. Atchison Memorial Park. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend. Feel free to bring blankets, chairs, bug spray, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. A concession stand may be open for food and drink purchases. More free movies will be shown on every other Saturday throughout the summer. The remaining movie choices have yet to be announced. Information will be posted on http://www.lyontwp.org/movies as it becomes available.
3rd Annual Injured Soldiers Lyon Ride
Don't wait until the movie starts to come out to the park! The 3rd Annual Injured Soldiers Lyon Ride is also taking place at James F. Atchison Memorial Park on Saturday, July 25th. The mission of Operation Injured Soldiers is to help disabled veterans overcome obstacles and resume a productive and fulfilling life through programs that help them get back into their personal hobbies. The event starts at 12:00p, but sign-up for the motorcycle ride will begin at 11:00 a.m. A motorcycle rodeo will be held at 3:00p. Other attractions include live bands, kite flying, a dunk tank, a Guitar Hero competition, food, games, and more.
Organizations involved with this event include the Kiwanis Club, the Rotary Club, and the Lyon Township Fire Department. All are encouraged to come out for a fun day in support of a wonderful cause.

Mobile Clerk's Office Coming to Novi
Oakland County is hosting a Mobile Clerk's Office at the Novi Civic Center on Tuesday, July 28th from 11:00a to 1:00p. Services available will include absentee ballot applications, birth and death records, business regstrations, CPL applications, legal records, marriage licenses, military discharge filings, notary filings, passports, property records, and voter registration.
