Next Movie Selection Announced
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone will be the next movie shown for the Movies in the Park series on Saturday, July 11th, at James F. Atchison Memorial Park. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend. Feel free to bring blankets, chairs, bug spray, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. A concession stand may be open for food and drink purchases. More free movies will be shown on every other Saturday throughout the summer. The remaining movie choices have yet to be announced. Information will be posted on http://www.lyontwp.org/movies as it becomes available.
Library Closing Temporarily for Renovations
The Lyon Township Public Library will be closed for renovations starting on Thursday, July 30th. The library is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Monday, September 14th. Answers to frequently asked questions regarding the closure can be found here.
Portions of Bike Path to be Closed for Maintenance
For the purpose of cutting the canopy of brush, portions of the bike path in Lyon Township will be closed on Thursday, July 16th and Friday, July 17th. We apologize for any inconvenience while we make this improvement.
Section of 10 Mile Road to be Temporarily Closed
The Road Commission for Oakland County will be closing 10 Mile Road between Currie Road and Milford Road on Saturday, July 18th, weather permitting, to replace a culvert. The detour route during the closure will be Griswold Road to 9 Mile to Currie Road and vice versa.
